Re: Rain water storage
Yes! I would love to hear about pumps too I have some front yard space that is not close to irrigation. We have 2 rain barrels that are backed up to our chicken coop and have gutters running with a down spout directly into the barrels. They're so small and we have very wet times here (Z 8b). A perma...

I think theoretically you could do it in a large ceramic crock if you used the air vac lid I would think. Those are pretty expensive but are a more traditional fermentation container.

Thanks Jack! Hoping for something small using the honor system is where I’d like to start this year. I was thinking I would offer it Tuesdays and Thursdays with garden items, flowers, eggs, and sourdough options (maybe using a sign up sheet?), maybe seedling (hope to add honey next year)? We live in...

Using bokashi inoculant in worm bin
In one of the videos Andrew mentioned using the Bokashi inoculate in the worm bin to aid decomposition. How does that work? Don’t we want the bokashi bran to be anaerobic? When it’s exposed to oxygen how do the microbes work differently? Thanks!

Re: Winter time is a great time to re evaluate your outdoor space
Total reeval this fall and winter for us here. Moved half the raised beds and expanded into the back half of our yard 🙈 added space for a cut flower garden too. It’s been a big change. Be hardest part has been deciding if we wanted to fill the walk areas with mulch or rock. We had mulch in a previou...
