My name is Chris Willis. I have been gardening in my backyard now for 14 years. When we purchased the house it was in a new subdivision with a 3,500 sq ft, gently sloped backyard covered in lawn with two trees and gravel on the two sides of the house. Over the years, the area has been converted into a diverse vegetable, berry and fruit tree healing space.

This is my second year learning from Dan, Andrew and Jack and I am so excited to try what they suggest. The videos that have already been released are fantastic. I love the new "fireside chats"! I have a variety of raised beds and one in particular that I built two years ago has had an interesting turn of events with the recent extreme cold weather. The bed is narrow and tall and the two evergreen Clematis plants froze and the leaves have all turned brown (i.e. I think they have died). The planter was not large enough to provide insulation for the plants, nor had they had enough time to root down into the native compact soil under the planter.
