We are in the process of moving our garden location - and have a very similar set up to Jacks - an long area next to a hedge row.

However - our hedges run north/south.

Would it still be ok to run our rows east/west - we we can have one wide path down the side very much like jacks - or would it just not work with the rows in that direction?

Hi Kendra, it kind of depends on which side of the hedge you will be gardeing on. The hedge will be casting shade on the garden either in the morning or afternoon. If it is a low hedge it is probably not a huge deal. If the hedge is taller, you could run your path adjacent to the hedgerow and let the shade fall on your path instead of on the garden.
