Trimming Leek Seedlings

If we are starting leeks indoors, do we trim them the same way you trim onion seedlings? Mine are getting really tall and I keep moving the light up to give them more space.

Yes, you can give them a snip but it's not necessary. I would recommend that to avoid the lankiness you should cool them down a bit while still giving them as much sunlight as possible.
By planting time, you leeks should be around 5" tall. Core a hole and plant at least 4" underground. There will be a 1" tip sticking above the surface. this helps increase the length of the shank (the white part of the leek).
