We planted 3 rows of potatoes today! :) I will make a note to not buy 2 bags next year as we don't have the space but I will put the extras in grow bags. The others have found a home with a friend who gardens.

Question: There is kale that died during the really cold weather we had this year. I have just left them and planted the potatoes around the stalks. Should I trim the stalks or just the bugs enjoy?

First time loading compressed images 🤞

Looks good. Leave the kale plants. Get as much biodiversity as possible. You could also seed early greens above the potatoes: arugula, cress, turnips, mustard mix, radishes. The potatoes will pop out the ground around the same time you harvest the early greens.
