i built a vertical wall planter that i intend to lean up against a fence. i was able to source most of the building materials for free: discarded heat treated pallet and cedar planks from a demolished fence. i do my best to use things that i can either up-cycle or repurpose...

i have found that small planters tend to dry out if not watered regularly or get waterlogged during heavy rainfall.

here are some pics of the build... starting with the finished planter...

i started with a rather large pallet. always check to make sure that it's been heat treated, otherwise it could be infused with chemicals.

i cut the pallet in half and then joined the two pieces together to create a skeleton for the planter.
