Late winter or spring planting of garlic

If you haven't planted your garlic yet, don't worry. We've successfully planted garlic as late as Family Day in February. The yield was comparable to garlic that was planted the previous October.

Your biggest challenge might be sourcing seed. You might be in luck if you visit a market that features local food.

hi Dan, that sounds great, ill have to give that a try as i missed out on garlic fall planting!

one question is that a good time to also set out onion sets and multiplier onions, on or before feb24? im in chilliwack

Multiplier onions can be planted in February. They're really tough.
