Hi Jack,

I have just finished watching your video on pruning apple trees. The snow is finally melting here in northern Ontario and I have discovered a few trees which appear to be old apple trees (this property is new to us). They look to be long neglected. Should I attempt to prune them now before they start to leaf out ( in probably three weeks) or wait until July? Also my daughter has a couple of young apple trees at her new property that have never been pruned and didn’t produce anything last year- should I do some pruning now or wait? Thanks for your help!

Now would be the best time to prune since the trees haven't leafed out yet. Prune now and again in the summer.
