We bought good size dwarf fruit trees three springs ago, I mean they were a little bigger than the small saplings they sell. Planted in good soil and sprayed with dormant oil and lime sulphur in late winter before there were any buds. Not a fan of spraying but since they have yet to bear fruit we relented. This year no fruit again on the apple (Scarlet Sentinel), plum (Nadia) and a pear.. The peach bought at the same time is doing well. The other apple tree is loaded. They all had plenty of flowers. There are many fruit trees in the neighbourhood so it is not pollination for the apple and the pear for sure,. I have no idea what is going on and would love some suggestions on what to do for next year It’s such a shame to not have fruit again.

It was a cold spring and the bees were less active than normal. That could be one issue.

Also, neighborhood trees that are too distant could mean that the bees weren't transmitting pollen between trees of the same type. It's not only important to have other trees of the same type in the area, they also need to flower at approximately the same time. A prune plum for example, flowers around a week or two after the Japanese plum varieties.
